GS8 by GAC MOTOR Named Car of the Year

Jeddah- Saudi “Media Car” Magazine have named the new GAC Motor's flagship 7-seat SUV, the GS8, as their 2018 Car of the Year. The GS8 came top in the best Mid-size SUV category of the annual awards and was picked by the readers of Media Car magazine as their favorite new car in 2018.

In taking the title, GAC's flagship, mid-size SUV with a 2.0L turbo in 4x2 and 4x4 variants, confirmed its status as one of the most exciting new models and won the award for its quality, availability of the highest technological specifications and safety specifications, as well as the comfort of the cabin compared to the competing cars of the same category.

Shaikh Waleed Al-Abdullah Aljomaih, Chief Operation Officer of Aljomaih Automotive Co, said that the competitive success of the GS8 reflects AAC’s objective to offer quality vehicles and to do so in partnership with quality oriented global brands. He emphasized that the decision to obtain the agency of Guangzhou Automobile Group Co. came only after confirming GAC’s history of making a quantum leap in the standards and offerings of Chinese manufactured and branded vehicles.
