GM at Saudi International Motor Show (SIMS), Jeddah

he pavilion of Aljomaih Automotive, attracted unprecedented number of visitors at the Saudi International Motor Show (SIMS), which was held in Jeddah from 10 to 14 December 2019.

The pavilion showcased a variety of the latest GMC and Chevrolet vehicles, including a mixture of all-new vehicles, discontinued vehicles making a comeback to the markets, new options in the sedan category, in addition to vehicles exclusively available at Aljomaih Automotive.

The line-up of all-new vehicles included the Chevrolet Corvette C8 sports car, the first Corvette ever to include a mid-engine. The 2020 Corvette C8 is the sum of seven previous generations with a new 6.2L V8 engine boosting 490 horsepower and 637 Nm of torque. Chevrolet Corvette C8 scooped “Best Sports Car in 2019”award by automotive website Arabian Drive. The award was presented by Hassan Kutbi, website creator and one of the leading automotive influencer in Saudi Arabia .

Aljomaih Automotive also unveiled the all- new Chevrolet Onix sedan, which offers class- leading fuel efficiency and safety features with as many as six airbags standard on all trims. The Chevrolet Onyx is available in 3-cylinder turbo engines with 1.0L and 1.2L variants boosting 115hp and 132hp respectively, and a 6-speed automatic transmission.

At this year’s pavilion, the Chevrolet Captiva family crossover made a comeback after receiving a complete makeover to suit the needs of all families regardless of their lifestyles, thanks to the advanced design,

spacious interior, high fuel efficiency and smart technologies. Chevrolet Captiva is available in a 1.5L turbo engine producing 145hp, and a CVT transmission.

Aljomaih Automotive pavilion was full of surprises, among which is the debut of 2020 GMC Acadia with mid-cycle upgrades including a major design overhaul. The company also showcased Chevrolet Tahoe Moonlight and GMC Yukon Premium, with both vehicles featuring a range of exclusive accessories available only at Aljomaih Automotive in Saudi Arabia.
